
Eduardo Galeano the author most recently of Mirrors: Stories of Almost Everyone, published by Nation Books has spent a lifetime reflecting on the lives—political, cultural, and historical—of the people of the Americas. Back in April Venezuela’s president Hugo Chavez gave Barack Obama a copy of Galeano’s book Open Veins of Latin America. Galeano joins us to discuss his work, the political moment, and the past and future of US-Latin American relations.
