Steven Hill, "Fixing the American Workforce", December 7, 2015 at Town Hall Seattle!
"Uber, TaskRabbit, Airbnb, and other companies are putting capitalist ventures in the hands of the consumer–but how much do these companies really benefit American workers? According to veteran journalist Steven Hill (Europe’s Promise), the answer is not at all. Hill argues that, more than anything, these new tech-based, easy-money, sharing enterprises are doing great harm. Raw Deal outlines the “runaway capitalism” behind these programs and the disastrous results that could occur if they’re allowed to continue unchecked. He’ll share his solutions–both for public policy and our broken economic structure–and what it will take to shift away from the sharing economy. "
China has gamified being an obedient citizen with the creation of Sesame Credit. The game links to your social network and gives you a score for doing things that the government approves of, but it also reduces that score for doing things the government disapproves of. Even your friends' scores affect your own, and being friends with people who have a low score will drag your score down as well. This insidious system applies social pressure on people to ostracize their friends with lower scores, either forcing those friends to change their ways or effectively quarantining their rebellious ideas. While many sci-fi visions of a dystopian future have centered around a bleak government that controls through fear, Sesame Credit shows us that a government can use gamification and positive reinforcement to be just as controlling. And it's real. While currently the system is opt-in, the government plans to make it mandatory in 2020. Once mandatory, it may give rewards for good scores or penalties for bad ones. And in the meantime, making it opt-in has already set the tone for the game: people participate willingly, so they find it fun, and they set a very high standard for what the "average" score should be. Already people have begun sharing their scores on social media.
Coming soon to a New World Order near you: social credit! Earn points by behaving like the government wants you to behave! Get penalized if you don't act like a doubleplusgood citizen! What could be more fun? Join me for today's Thought For The Day as we discuss China's new Sesame Credit system and the gamification of your enslavement.
On this week’s episode of The Empire Files, Abby Martin interviews American political figure Ralph Nader about the 2016 presidential race—from the “Brown Shirt” Trump movement to “corporate criminal” Hillary Clinton—and the reality of who has power in America.
Known for his widely-popular presidential run in 2000, he also ran presidential campaigns against corporate power in 1996, 2004 and 2008.
A consumer advocate since the 1950’s, his work against auto industry giants forced the creation of mandated safety measures that saved millions of lives from for-profit auto production. His contributions span disability rights to exposing corporate pollution.
MP3 & SHOW NOTES: http://themindrenewed.com/interviews/... This week we welcome Dr. Stephanie Seneff, a Senior Research Scientist at MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, for an in-depth (and sometimes slightly technical) conversation on the subject of glyphosate, the world's most popular herbicide.
Marketed as Roundup by Monsanto, and most famously used in combination with Roundup Ready® GMO crops, glyphosate is officially considered to be of minimal risk to human beings when used as directed. But is that really true? After several years of research - drawing upon studies into the effects of glyphosate on animals, and persuasive statistical correlations between the increase in glyphosate usage and the upsurge in various human illnesses, most notably autism - Dr. Seneff reaches a conclusion very different from the official line: Glyphosate, she believes, is a major risk to human health and needs to be removed from our environment as soon as possible.
A look back on some of the biggest stories of 2015 from what to do about the threat of ISIS abroad and what to think of the San Bernardino mass shooting at home; from the unlikely rise of a socialist Senator from Vermont and the ugly reality of Donald Trump’s appeal; we will take a look at all of that and more in the Acronym TV 2015 year in review.

MP3 & SHOW NOTES: http://themindrenewed.com/interviews/... Our guest this week is Swiss historian Dr. Daniele Ganser, author of the seminal book NATO's Secret Armies: Operation GLADIO and Terrorism in Western Europe, who joins us for a fascinating (though at times unsettling) conversation on the subject of Operation GLADIO.
Shortly after WWII a Europe-wide network of secret armies was organised under the aegis of NATO, tasked with providing military and intelligence resistance in the event of a feared Soviet invasion. Modelled on the resistance movements of the war years, many of these "stay behind" units remained faithful to their original mandate. But by the early 1960s - under the pressures of anti-communist politicking and flirtations with the Far Right - some of these groups began to morph into something more sinister, linking up with extreme right-wingers who carried out acts of false-flag terrorism, harassment of left-wing parties and coups d'état.
But was this morphing simply an unforseen consequence of the unaccountability and instability of the network itself? Or was it, at least in part, engineered by the very Anglo-American establishment which gave birth to the project in the first place? And to what extent, therefore, can such acts of terror be seen as manifestations of 'the strategy of tension', carried out by the State against its own citizens for the purposes of control at home and geopolitical gain abroad? (We also discuss: Operation Northwoods, the so-called War on Terror, 9/11 and the recent Charle Hebdo attacks.)
We get some insights into the usually closed world of the wealth managers who serve the super rich. Also: on a par with Kissinger being awarded the Nobel Peace prize? We discuss the British Banker's Association getting one of their own into the Treasury, why Facebook's Mark Zuckergberg's $35 billion 'charity' pledge isn't what it seems, and the anonymous survey of accountants that reveals corruption is rife and the self-regulating profession can no longer be trusted. Plus more scandal and unique analysis.

What is the Federal Reserve system? How did it come into existence? Is it part of the federal government? How does it create money? Why is the public kept in the dark about these important matters? In this feature-length documentary film, The Corbett Report explores these important question and pulls back the curtain on America's central bank.
Dr. Paul Craig Roberts joins me to discuss the absurdity of the Paris Attack which is playing out just as Dr. Roberts expected. Like 9/11, the Paris "ISIS attacks" are being used to destroy people's civil liberties in the name of "protecting them". It's the same worn out story propelled by the same CIA mockingbird media that's been in control since John F Kennedy was murdered by the deep state. When will humanity wake up?
“Corruption, greed and economic inequality have reached a peak tipping point,” writes David Degraw. “Due to the consolidation of wealth, the majority of the population cannot generate enough income to keep up with the cost of living. In the present economy, under current government policy, 70% of the population is now sentenced to an impoverished existence.”
In this special 3rd anniversary of Occupy Wall St. edition of Acronym TV, David DeGraw sits down with Dennis Trainor, Jr.
David’s new book, The Economics of Revolution, is now available from DavidDeGraw.org.
DeGraw, who is advocating for a guaranteed income for all US residents, states: “If people could just wrap their head around the fact that we have over $94 Trillion in wealth in the United States, I think we would have a revolution overnight. It has gotten to the point where it would only take 0.5% of the 1%’s wealth to eliminate poverty nationwide.”
About the guest | David DeGraw is an author and an organizer. An early organizer with Occupy Wall Street, David is credited by many as starting the We Are the 99% meme that launched a movement. He is an independent investigative journalist. In February 2010, DeGraw published a book called “The Economic Elite Vs. The People of the United States of America.” The last section of the book was a call to action, using the concept of 99 percent of American income earners.

But always—do not forget this, Winston—always there will be the intoxication of power, constantly increasing and constantly growing subtler. This is a video on the psychology of propaganda. Prof. Kroth reviews five major techniques for how American mass media manipulates and twists the view Americans have of their world. The seriousness of the distortion, and our progressive loss of contact with reality is dramatic. We are increasingly living inside a media-induced trance without knowing it. Children believe Ronald MacDonald is more real than Abraham Lincoln. From Coke to Carl's Jr., Hip-hop to the Iraq war, the role of subliminal propaganda in our lives is unveiled and exposed. This talk is based on Dr. Kroth's recent book, Duped! Delusion, Denial, and the end of the American dream (Genotype, 2013). More information at collectivepsych.com

On November 22, thousands gathered at the gates of Fort Benning, GA at the 25th annual protest of the School of the Americas to memorialize the tens of thousands of people who lost their lives at the hands of the U.S. Empire’s brutally repressive juntas it used to rule Latin America by force.
The dictators and death squad leaders, who committed acts of genocide, were trained within the gates of Fort Benning, at the School of the Americas – otherwise known as the “School Of Assassins.”

Open Mind Conference 2015. Ken O’Keefe’s original marine conservation work has been somewhat overshadowed by his non-violent, but fully confrontational work for human rights. He is an ex-US marine and Gulf War Veteran, who formally renounced his US citizenship in 2001.
O’ Keefe’s activities to date include founding Human Shield Action to Iraq (2003), serving as a captain on the first Free Gaza Mission (2008), surviving an Israeli attack on the ship Mavi Marmara (2010) and becoming Social Enterprise Managing Director of Aloha Palestine CIC and the Samouni Project.
O’ Keefe is a published author and lecturer who now holds Irish, Hawaiian and Palestinian citizenship, but his ultimate allegiance is to his ‘entire human family’ and ‘Planet Earth’. His style of activism is characterised by his involvement in disarming two Israeli commandos as nine of his fellow Mavi Marmara passengers were executed.
The Israeli military later claimed O’Keefe was a "terrorist operative of Hamas". O’Keefe has repeatedly stated that Israeli Mossad and its assets, along with traitorous elements within the US, are directly responsible for the ‘false flag’ 9/11 attacks. http://www.worldcitizen.uk.net/

Why is the City of London losing so much business to New York, Hong Kong and Singapore? Our conclusions are quite different from those of a British Bankers Association report on the subject. Plus: the crazy UK-China nuclear power station deal: a sweetener for closer ties between the two nation's financial sectors? One year after #LuxLeaks exposed some of the cosy tax deals being done between tax authorities and multinational corporations we ask how many more 'illegal state aid' deals might have been done? Plus we have a special focus on the results of the latest Financial Secrecy Index 2015 released this month: we look at the top ten worst offenders and ask what can be done about them.

Here's the long-awaited video of Michael Parenti's speech on the threat of US imperialism which he gave at the Revolution Banquet held in Vancouver in November 2013.
Michael Parenti was on hand for the Symposium of the latest of his 25 books entitled Waiting for Yesterday. Pages from a Street Kid’s Life (Bordighera Press).
The New York Public Library hosted the event at their Mulberry Street branch in New York City on October 31st, 2015.
The first reading was performed by Gil Fagiani and Ketty Romagnoli of Bolgna, Italy, who each respectively took turns reading Litany of San Vito by Gil Fagiani, a poem dedicated to Marcantonio and his legacy.
The event featured a book presentation from author and journalist, Stephen Siciliano, who recently completed a full-length novel about Vito Marcantonio entitled the Goodfather. Siciliano discussed many aspects of of Parenti’s Waiting for Yesterday, highlighting parts that he found to be of the most historical and social significance.
“I know the house you grew up in.” said LuLu LoLo Pascale. “A close friend of mine also lived in that house and so I took a picture and framed it for you.” Dr Parenti delightfully received the picture and gave thanks. Pascale, an East Harlem native herself, as well as an international playwright and performance artist, read “Homage to Puglia” and “Coming Home to Both Worlds,” from Parenti’s book.
Vito Marcantonio Forum Co-chairman, Roberto Ragone, said “Halloween is the one day per year the country says you can be someone who you’re not. So I am going to be Vito Marcantonio while I read the following speech.” Ragone, who has experience working for the City Council, Mayor’s Office, and State Senate, dramatized a speech by the late, great congressman from East Harlem. Ragone also read, “Someone Else to Remember” and “Inventing Space,” his two favorite chapters from Parenti’s Waiting for Yesterday.
Bertell Ollman, the renown political theorist was in attendance and acknowledged by Parenti. East Harlem author and historian, Christopher Bell was also acknowledged. The Vito Marcantonio Forum event was moderated by Gil Fagiani. Artwork and online media was provided by Adam Meyer and Gabrielle Napolitano. The VMF thanks the New York Public Library for providing the venue for the event. Also special thanks to Maria Lisella for press and promotional work.
Michael Parenti actively writes and lectures on a wide-range of topics. You can find his website at MichaelParenti.org and if you are interested in purchasing Waiting for Yesterday, you can find it at Amazon.com.
In this episode of Days of Revolt, host Chris Hedges and organizer Kevin Zeese break down the terms of the TransPacific Partnership (TPP). The two deconstruct how the TPP and other associated trade deals like TiSA and TTIP, if approved, will lead to the irreversible privatization of public services, the dismantling of people’s judiciary rights, and the further corporatization of pharmaceuticals, labor, and natural resources. Zeese highlights the importance of direct action in combatting these injustices, specifically detailing upcoming demonstrations he has organized with PopularResistance. teleSUR http://multimedia.telesurtv.net/v/day...
In this lecture at Schumacher College, Rupert Sheldrake shows how the "scientific worldview" is moribund; the sciences are being constricted by assumptions that have hardened into dogmas. But science itself is now transcending the materialist philosophy, and pointing toward a new sense of a living world. The cosmos is no longer like a machine running down; it is more like a developing organism with an inherent memory, and so is our planet, Gaia. These new paradigm shifts in the sciences shed a new light on spiritual practices like pilgrimage, ritual, prayer and meditation.
Rupert Sheldrake, Ph.D. is a biologist and author of more than 80 scientific papers and 10 books, including The Science Delusion. He was a Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge University, a Research Fellow of the Royal Society, Principal Plant Physiologist at ICRISAT (the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics) in Hyderabad, India, and from 2005-2010 the Director of the Perrott-Warrick Project, funded from Trinity College, Cambridge. While in India, he spent two years living in the ashram of Fr Bede Griffiths, and has given workshops on science and spirituality with Matthew Fox and Brother David Steindl-Rast. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, Petaluma, California, and a visiting professor at the Graduate Institute in Connecticut. His web site is www.sheldrake.org

This series (Amazonia: Last Call) travels across Brazilian landscapes by way of one of the main links still binding the essence of humanity with the Earth: the Amazon.
The filming of the first point of contact with an isolated race, the Zo'E, the encroachment on areas of the Amazonian forest previously uncaptured on film, the evidence relating to the development of the illegal trafficking of species or the recording of the immeasurable value of Brazil's natural spaces; these are just excerpts from the series.
The underlying theme is the conflict between the development and conservation of one of the key natural areas underpinning the stability of the planet.
A poetical film on the deforestation in Indonesia and the extinction of the orangutans. The film tells the story of a female orangutan named Green who has lost her home, her child and her will to live. The story is told from Green’s point of view, without a word. This is a self produced film which brakes free from the conventional documentary to find itself halfway between fiction and documentary.

Where does money come from? 97% is created by banks from nothing and they decide for what purpose it can be used. How does this process work, what are the rules that govern it and what are the flaws in the theory that inform it? How can this process be controlled to reduce harm and encourage productive and environmentally sustainable development.
Professor Richard Werner is the inventor of the term “Quantitative Easing”, (QE). He argues that small local banks are a good way to support growth through “Quantitative Easing for local economies”. This is done using the banks power of creating money and allocate them within the SME-sector, including green- and social enterprises, where most jobs are created. He is currently involved in starting the “Hampshire Community Bank” aimed at the local economy in Hampshire. The project provides a structure within which small banks can build a network and support innovation.

Join Dark Journalist and his special guest, Former Assistant Housing Secretary, Financial Expert and Coast to Coast AM contributor Catherine Austin Fitts, for an exhilarating overview of the hidden forces of the Black Budget at work in the 2015 economic landscape. Making her fifth appearance on the show, Catherine exposes an emerging economic trend she calls a "Crash-Up" that may be the next move of the financial cabal she refers to as "Mr Global." After draining most of the money out of the economy with the disastrous housing bubble and the dire crash of 2008, the cabal is ready to make their next move by Crashing Up equity and relentlessly debasing currencies for even more profit!
Catherine, the publisher of The Solari Report, traces the history of worldwide financial manipulation and draws on her personal experience in high-ranking positions on Wall Street and in Government to expose the global game being played out by a tiny elite of people who dominate the committee to run the world.
She also gives out rare insight and wisdom for finding your economic security while battling the covert forces of mind control, entrainment technology, money harvesting, black budget operations and power centralization.
Spellbinding, informative, startling and provocative, this is the interview you're going to need to navigate 2015!
Title: The Black Budget: What Does It Mean to US Federal Budget, the Economy and You?
Are financial fraud and market manipulations actually mechanisms for financing the black budget and centralized governance necessitated by high-tech secrecy?

UFO technology: Cui Bono? There may be as much as $100 trillion dollars worth of hardware flying the skies powered by anti-gravity and field-propulsion technologies. This has significant implications for the ownership and design of manufacturing and energy infrastructure on planet earth. It also has connections to trillions of dollars which are “missing” from defense and domestic agency accounts (as reported by official financial reports of the US government). To the extent that the US taxpayer has financed this technology (or its reverse-engineering) why should private corporations own it on a secret basis?
The financial fortunes and geopolitical power involved are significant. If you control these technologies, you possess weaponry sufficient to engineer a financial coup d’Etat and to centralize control of the entire global financial system.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges joins us for an evening in Toronto to speak about "The Great Unraveling."
Revolutions come in waves and cycles. We are again riding the crest of a revolutionary epic, much like 1848 or 1917, from the Arab Spring to movements against austerity in Greece to the Occupy Movement. In his newest book, Wages of Rebellion, Chris Hedges investigates what social and psychological factors cause revolution, rebellion, and resistance. Drawing on an ambitious overview of prominent philosophers, historians and literary figures, he shows not only the harbingers of a coming crisis but also the nascent seeds of rebellion. Hedges’ message is clear: popular uprisings in the United States and around the world are inevitable in the face of mounting environmental destruction and grotesque wealth polarization.
Russia, China, the US, and the seeds of World War III are explored--from oil and energy, to economic sanctions and the hidden threat of Monsanto crops. Putin’s role as a foil to the West, the failures of neocons, consequences of the Iraq war and US intervention in Libya and Syria, plus the western backing of ISIS, is detailed with William Engdahl. How is China emerging in the struggle for resources of Africa and the Middle East? Are international conflicts proxy wars of the larger struggle between the US and Russia? Explore the geopolitical and expanded military landscape that extends from oil fields to agricultural ones in this uncensored Buzzsaw interview, hosted by Sean Stone.
GUEST BIO: F. William Engdahl is a political economist specializing for more than thirty years in geopolitical analysis of global events. He is author of the international best-selling book on oil and geopolitics, A Century of War: Anglo-American Oil Politics, published as well in German, French, English, Chinese, Russian, Czech, Korean, Turkish, Croatian, Slovenian and Arabic. In 2010 he published Gods of Money: Wall Street and the Death of the American Century and in 2013 a revised updated edition of his best-selling Seeds of Destruction: The Hidden Agenda of Genetic Manipulation completing a trilogy on the power of oil, food and money control. His book, Target China: How Washington and Wall Street Plan to Cage the Asian Dragon appeared in 2014, and The Lost Hegemon: Whom the gods would destroy is due for release in summer 2015.
Bending Reality: Countering Media Manipulation in the 21st Century
Mainstream media is losing its grip on information. Deception and lies have become the norm, as a handful of corporations and governments have been spoon feeding humanity a version of reality by manufacturing consensus. Revealing the control and ownership command and control structure is essential to understanding what is happening and why, but more importantly, by being able to decode and unmask mainstream propaganda - you will know exactly where the establishment are taking us. Knowing how to navigate this matrix will be the key to survival and sanity in the 21st century.

People around the world are noticing that our planet's weather is dramatically changing. They are also beginning to notice the long lingering trails left behind airplanes that have lead millions to accept the reality of chemtrail/geoengineering programs. Could there be a connection between the trails and our severe weather? While there are many agendas associated with these damaging programs, evidence is now abundant which proves that geoengineering can be used to control weather. In this documentary you will learn how the aerosols being sprayed into our sky are used in conjunction with other technologies to control our weather. While geoengineers maintain that their models are only for the mitigation of global warming, it is now clear that they can be used as a way to consolidate an enormous amount of both monetary and political power into the hands of a few by the leverage that weather control gives certain corporations over the Earth's natural systems. This of course, is being done at the expense of every living thing on the planet. Directed/Produced by Michael J. Murphy and Produced/Edited by Barry Kolsky.. Written by Michael J. Murphy and Barry Kolsky.
In this episode of Days of Revolt, host Chris Hedges and author John Ralston Saul discuss neoliberalism as an ideology, the breakdown of that ideology, and what comes next. The two draw parallels between historic systems of power and the current corporatism that exists in the West today, and unveil the tactics used by both to control language and collective memory. teleSUR http://multimedia.telesurtv.net/v/day...
Our external reality is an expression of what we have collectively created together and we consider this to be REALITY. Reality in this case means ‘OUR THOUGHTS REALISED’. So, yes, it is a form of reality indeed.
However, a lot of the realities we have created are not in harmony with our true being and planet earth. Western society is a slash and burn reality where what we take is not given back. This will eventually result in the exhaustion of resources of our planet. The way we treat planet Earth is a result of how we treat ourselves and thus others. We tend to think in a linear way and not in a cyclical way where what goes out comes back in and vise versa:
A dance between our internal eternal spirit and the physical external realm.
It is like we have become so mesmerized that we believe that the external world is all there is. We hang on to it for dear life and since we know our resources are finite, fear and greed put us into a constant survival mode. In the mean time our true being is not integrated as much as is healthy for our wellbeing. It is like we walk around like zombies; cleverly reflected by the large amount of zombie movies that have come out over the past 10 years.
The film ‘Mind the Matrix’ looks at all this and with the help of various experts, hands the viewer tools on how to get back to our natural state of inner and outer harmony. This is where global change will start. With ourselves. Once we have rediscovered the nature of who we really are, this will automatically be reflected outwards. Our ‘reality’ will then be adjusted all by itself.
By remaining focused outwards, we as humans may just get exhausted of trying for change and not seeing any. Like Mahatma Gandhi said ‘Be the change that you want in the world’.
Please watch the movie and share it with as many people as you feel to. If you speak a foreign language and you would like it to be available in your country, please contact production@ngatikurafilms.com to suggest volunteers who can translate the English version.

Chris Hedges, whose most recent book "Wages of Rebellion: The Moral Imperative of Revolt" (Nation Books) was published on May 15, 2015 is also the best-selling author of "War is a Force That Gives Us Meaning" (2003), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction. A quote from the book was used as the opening title quotation in the critically-acclaimed and Academy Award-winning 2009 film, The Hurt Locker. The quote reads: "The rush of battle is often a potent and lethal addiction, for war is a drug."
Revolutions come in waves and cycles. We are again riding the crest of a revolutionary epic, much like 1848 or 1917, from the Arab Spring to movements against austerity in Greece to the Occupy movement. In "Wages of Rebellion," Chris Hedges--who has chronicled the malaise and sickness of a society in terminal moral decline in his books "Empire of Illusion" and "Death of the Liberal Class"--investigates what social and psychological factors cause revolution, rebellion, and resistance. Drawing on an ambitious overview of prominent philosophers, historians, and literary figures he shows not only the harbingers of a coming crisis but also the nascent seeds of rebellion. Hedges' message is clear: popular uprisings in the United States and around the world are inevitable in the face of environmental destruction and wealth polarization.
Focusing on the stories of rebels from around the world and throughout history, Hedges investigates what it takes to be a rebel in modern times. Utilizing the work of Reinhold Niebuhr, Hedges describes the motivation that guides the actions of rebels as "sublime madness"--the state of passion that causes the rebel to engage in an unavailing fight against overwhelmingly powerful and oppressive forces. For Hedges, resistance is carried out not for its success, but as a moral imperative that affirms life. Those who rise up against the odds will be those endowed with this "sublime madness."
From South African activists who dedicated their lives to ending apartheid, to contemporary anti-fracking protests in Alberta, Canada, to whistleblowers in pursuit of transparency, "Wages of Rebellion" shows the cost of a life committed to speaking the truth and demanding justice. Hedges has penned an indispensable guide to rebellion.
Hedges, whose column is published Mondays on Truthdig, has written twelve books, including the New York Times best seller “Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt” (2012), which he co-authored with the cartoonist Joe Sacco. Some of his other books include “Death of the Liberal Class” (2010), “Empire of Illusion: The End of Literacy and the Triumph of Spectacle” (2009), “I Don’t Believe in Atheists” (2008) and the best selling “American Fascists: The Christian Right and the War on America” (2008). His book “War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning” (2003) was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award for Nonfiction. In 2011, Nation Books published a collection of Hedges’ Truthdig columns called “The World As It Is: Dispatches on the Myth of Human Progress.”
Hedges previously spent nearly two decades as a foreign correspondent in Central America, the Middle East, Africa and the Balkans. He has reported from more than 50 countries and has worked for The Christian Science Monitor, National Public Radio, The Dallas Morning News and The New York Times, for which he was a foreign correspondent for 15 years.
Hedges was part of the team of reporters at The New York Times awarded a Pulitzer Prize in 2002 for the paper’s coverage of global terrorism. He also received the Amnesty International Global Award for Human Rights Journalism in 2002. The Los Angeles Press Club honored Hedges’ original columns in Truthdig by naming the author the Online Journalist of the Year in 2009 and again in 2011. The LAPC also granted him the Best Online Column award in 2010 for his Truthdig essay “One Day We’ll All Be Terrorists.”
Hedges is a senior fellow at The Nation Institute in New York City. He has taught at Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University and The University of Toronto. He currently teaches prisoners at a maximum-security prison in New Jersey.
Chris Hedges appears live behind the Orange Curtain for an inspirational and enlightening speech given for the Green Party of Orange County. Hedges speaks of real Socialism, Bernie Sanders and fighting against the control the oligarchy has over our political system. Also included is the Q & A session where Hedges offers even more damning information about the U.S. hegemony and how to rebel against the system. Recorded on Sunday, September 20, 2015 in Santa Ana, CA. Video Produced by SANCHEZ.
In this episode of Days of Revolt, host Chris Hedges discusses Israeli military policy in the Gaza Strip with author and journalist Max Blumenthal. Together they recount Palestinian testimonies about Israeli military aggression during Operation Protective Edge as described in Blumenthal’s latest book, and detail the brutal tactics used by the Israeli state in attempt to suppress Palestinian resistance. teleSURhttp://multimedia.telesurtv.net/v/day...

Governments around the world have long since fully deployed global climate engineering on a scale that cannot truly be comprehended. They decided (without public knowledge or consent) that they had the right to use the atmosphere of our planet to serve their own agendas which amount to nothing less than weather and biological warfare. On August 14th, 2015, there was a major event in Northern California that was organized for the purpose of exposing and halting the global climate engineering programs that are decimating our planet and the entire web of life. Numerous experts spoke out at this event including attorneys, former government scientists, a former defense industry technician, former military personnel, a prominent Northern California Neurologist, and a CEO for one of the largest environmental and engineering consulting firms in the world. Approximately 1000 people attended this event. http://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/ma... The video below is the primary PowerPoint informational presentation given at the event, "Engineering Earth, Exposing The Global Climate Modification Assault". This presentation was given by Dane Wigington, lead researcher for geoengineeringwatch.org. The emcee for this important event was John B. Wells, radio host for the highly acclaimed "Caravan to Midnight" show. John works tirelessly toward revealing the truth for the common good. His participation in the Northern California event was of immense benefit to the cause of exposing geoengineering. My deepest appreciation to John, to all the speakers that participated and shared their knowledge, to each and every activist that contributed countless hours, and of course our gratitude to all those that attended the event. FRA’s Gordon T Long talks financial repression and the decline in democracy with Paul Craig Roberts. Paul is the chairman of the institute for political economy, he was also the former assistant secretary of the US treasury for economic policy in the Reagan administration.
“As far as I can tell not only has democracy departed the western world but also compassion empathy for others, morality integrity respect for truth justice fairness self-respect western civilization has become a hollow shell there is nothing left but greed and coercion and the threat of coercion”. He believes this outcome is based on the behavior and statements of the government and the public’s acceptance of it. Part of the reason the public doesn’t care, is due to a lack of information as about 90% of the American media is owned by 6 large mega corporations that manipulate the news. “The story that is told by the American media is Washington’s propaganda line and of course whatever the corporation’s propaganda line is and there is no challenge to either”. On the republican debates, Paul questions the aggressive stands that most of the candidates seemed to have towards foreign policy. He states that this stand will simply create distrust among nuclear wielding powers. “Every American president since John F Kennedy worked with the soviet leadership to diffuse the nuclear issue”. He says that this shift in culture across the candidates is a combination of both campaign finance and a shift in culture. “There’s no such thing as a free market in the United States, it requires many producers none of which can affect price…………….look at the banks, the banks are so concentrated that they are too big to fail. How do you have capitalism if a failed enterprise doesn’t close down instead it is bailed out by the people or by the Federal Reserve printing money to buy its worthless portfolio. This not capitalism, there’s no capitalism here, this is an oligarchy!” “What has the government said that’s true? Think of anything, can you think of anything they’ve said that’s true? We know that the unemployment rate they’re reporting is false, inflation rate is false, and the gross domestic product is false. We know all of this, we know that Saddam Hussein did not have weapons of mass destruction, he did not have Al Qaeda connections, that Assad of Syria did not use chemical weapons. We know Russia did not invade Ukraine but they say this over and over and over. I can’t think of one thing that the government or corporate world has said in 20 years that’s true”.
Jason Burack of Wall St for Main St welcomed back returning guest, former Wall St executive, whistle blower and author Nomi Prinshttp://www.nomiprins.com/
During this 40+ minute interview, Jason starts off by asking Nomi about her new book, All the Presidents' Bankers, and according to her research when did Wall St try to start buying off/controlling US presidents.
Nomi talks about how she started her book in the late 19th century (1800s) and bankers like JP Morgan started cozying up up to bankers then and they ran in the same social and partying circles.
Nomi talks about how money and political power enjoy each other's company.
Jason and Nomi talk about the Creature from Jekyll Island and then about FDR and how FDR secretly met with lots of Wall St bankers according to Nomi's research for her book.
Next, Jason and Nomi discuss corruption on Wall St and if it has increased since Nomi first began her career on Wall St in the 1980s. Nomi thinks corruption has increased massively because of the opaqueness of derivatives and financial products.
Jason and Nomi discuss why corruption increased and Jason asks Nomi if the banks don't fear failure because of the Federal Reserve backstopping them.
Jason and Nomi discuss the role central banks like the Federal Reserve play in allowing bankers, hedge fund managers, etc to take enormous risk and not fear being fired, going to jail, etc.
Next, Jason and Nomi discuss the global economy and why she thinks China is close to announcing a large QE program. Nomi thinks central bankers are coordinating their QE programs to help keep interest rates low and asset prices propped up. She thinks this can continue at least for awhile longer until interest rates go to zero in every major economy.
Jason asks Nomi about why China, Russia and other G20 countries are creating the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, an alternative SWIFT system and doing enormous currency swaps and bilateral trade agreements.
Nomi thinks many economic and political elites know the status quo is collapsing.
To wrap up the interview, Jason and Nomi talk about the sickening amount of corruption in politics and if anything can be done to reduce the corruption.

If someone told you that a mountain of personal debt could be cleared via 3 simple changes to the way that money and banking works, would you like to know how? Would you like to see a more stable economy, with more jobs, less personal and government debt? Would you like to see money created free of debt and going into the real economy and support businesses, instead of getting trapped in financial and property markets? This video explains how 3 simple changes to the way that money and banking works would make all this (and much more) possible.
Do flaws in our monetary system consistently cause financial crises?
So far, critical questions concerning our monetary system and the financial crisis have been underexposed.
The new film ‘A Flaw in the Monetary System?’ depicts in 7 ½ minutes consequences of interest and compound interest in the financial world in descriptive graphics. It illustrates the
systematic redistribution of money from the majority to the wealthy.
Those who would like to understand how money works and in which way it influences our lives, should ask Margrit Kennedy. Through her books and lectures she uncovers a fundamental flaw in our money system, that creates social injustice and an explosive growth dynamic. Kennedy describes a possible way out of the risk prone monopoly of todays money system: the introduction of a variety of complementary currencies that can be designed to serve specific purposes, similar to the principle of diversity in nature. In a very personal way, she speaks about her odyssey through the world of money and about successful experiments, that could inspire us to prevent financial crises in the future.
Prof. Dr. Margrit Kennedy, architect, ecologist and money expert. Her pioneering book “Interest and Inflation-Free Money” was first published 20 years ago, in 22 languages. Her book “Regionalwährungen” (Regional Currencies, co-authored by Bernard Lietaer) has spawned 70 regional currency initiatives in the German speaking parts of Europe, of which 30 issued their own currency. She is the founder of the complementary curren think tank MonNetA (Money Network Alliance), founding member of the Regiogeld Association, and member of the Future Finance Commission of the World Future Council.

Drawing on the expertise of Trailblazers whom have risked everything to deliver this usually unavailable information, Strawman will outline information that you would otherwise be completely unaware of.
John K Webster, who has spent 18 months researching and making this film, has one goal... having noticed the increase of suicides in the UK that relate directly to monetary worries, he says "If this film saves one life, my work is done."
This film applies to everyone, regardless of your personal situation. It is important to know how the system works and more importantly, how it is working you.
It is said, that you must first know that you are in a cage, before you can escape from that cage.

"Skewed" exposes the effects of media violence on society and emphasizes the need for more positive and inspirational programming.
This film analyzes how negative and violent images disseminated by the mass media, entertainment and gaming industries affect society and consequently our perception of reality and it introduces us to a variety of studies that show how pro-social TV programming significantly enhances many positive qualities in children and for that matter, positively affects all viewing audiences.

The 'gods' of Money ... and their Quest for Global Dominion
Filmed at The Financial Terrorism Exposed Event in London - June 1012
William Engdahl is an Economist who has spent the last decade probing the socio-psychopathic corporatist agenda. In 2007 he published 'Seeds of Destruction', a remarkable expose of the Bio-tech agenda (primarily Monsanto) to achieve control of the global food supply by introducing patented Genetically Modified crops, whilst polluting organic crops with their pernicious seeds. In this presentation, William explains how western civilisation has 'sleepwalked' into 'Debt Slavery' and offers his own unique insight into the ultimate agenda of the socio-psychotic global corporatists.
"The Gods of Money" F. William Engdahl is an American German freelance journalist, historian and economic researcher. "The Gods of Money" lecture is based on Engdahls book "Gods of Money". The dollar financial system of Wall Street was born not at a conference in Bretton Woods New Hampshire in 1944. It was born in the first days of August, 1945 with the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
After that point the world was in no doubt who was the power to reckon with. This lecture traces the history of money as an instrument of power; it traces the evolution of that power in the hands of a tiny elite that regards themselves as, quite literally, gods-The Gods of Money. How these gods abused their power and how they systematically set out to control the entire world is the subject.

"How the Media Frames Political Issues" by Scott London
In The Emergence of American Political Issues (1977) McCombs and Shaw state that the most important effect of the mass media is "its ability to mentally order and organize our world for us. In short, the mass media may not be successful in telling us what to think, but they are stunningly successful in telling us what to think about."[13] The presidential observer Theodore White corroborates this conclusion in The Making of a President (1972):
The power of the press in America is a primordial one. It sets the agenda of public discussion; and this sweeping political power is unrestrained by any law. It determines what people will talk and think about - an authority that in other nations is reserved for tyrants, priests, parties and mandarins.[14]
McCombs and Shaw also note that the media's tendency to structure voters' perceptions of political reality in effect constitutes a bias: "to a considerable degree the art of politics in a democracy is the art of determining which issue dimensions are of major interest to the public or can be made salient in order to win public support."[15] http://www.scottlondon.com/reports/frames.html
