Third World America - Chris Hedges



In this lecture, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Chris Hedges will examine how America has devolved, economically and politically, into a Third World country and the role that inverted totalitarianism plays in consolidating the control of rapacious elites over our political and economic systems. A Ordem Criminal do Mundo, o cinismo assassino que a cada dia enriquece uma pequena oligarquia mundial em detrimento da miséria de cada vez mais pessoas pelo mundo. O poder se concentrando cada vez mais nas mãos de poucos, os direitos das pessoas cada vez mais restritos. As corporações controlando os governos de quase todo o planeta, dispondo também de instituições como FMI, OMC e Banco Mundial para defender seus interesses. Hoje 500 empresas detém mais de 50% do PIB Mundial, muitas delas pertencentes a um mesmo grupo.

Dans le cadre des Rencontres nationales de l'éducation, organisées par la Ligue de l'enseignement en octobre 2012 à Rennes, le philosophe et psychanalyste Miguel Benasayag s'est prêté à un entretien. Il y développe les défis auxquels est confrontée l'éducation, tant dans la construction de l'individu que dans son rapport à l'égalité ou dans la construction d'un socle commun de la démocratie.

Né en Argentine, Miguel Benasayag suit des études de médecine à Buenos Aires lorsqu'il décide de s'engager dans la résistance contre la dictature militaire. Arrêté puis torturé, il passe quatre années en prison avant d'être libéré et d'émigrer en France. Professeur d'épistémologie et Chercheur en anthropologie, Miguel Benasayag réfléchit inlassablement aux moyens de rester fidèle aux exigences de liberté et de solidarité. Il a publié de nombreux ouvrages notamment aux Éditions « La Découverte ». Également Philosophe et Psychanalyste, il anime le collectif « Malgré tout ».
